11th house is the house of gains. Lord of 11th house is called Labhesh. 11th house is second to 10th house. 10th house is also the house of Karma. So 11th house is the 2nd house from 10th house. It also indicates gains from one's work. A person with a good 11th house and 11th house lord would get good and befitting results for one's work. A person with an afflicted 11th house or 11th house lord would find that the results might not be commensurate to the work done.
11th house is also the house of elder siblings. Generally all planets benefit an individual when they are in 11th house.When there are benefic or Shubh planets in 11th house a person benefits through righteuos ways. When there are malefic planets, a person may benefit from wrong means also. But then again please do not consider this thing in isolation. People with a bad 11th house or malefic influences on it would tend to have less hapiness from elder siblings. They may not have elder siblings or due to some reasons they might not enjoy hapiness from them if they exist.

I have read that 11 house lord is malefic for all laganas. If 11 th lord is placed in 11th then will it affect the 10 th house being 12th from it. Your thoughts please?

I have 4 benefic planets in the 11th house, but they are all combust (except for jupiter) and the lord of the house is in detriment. How frustrating to have such a good placement for so many planets under such circumstances. :(
